SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - August 17, 2001 - EPI, the exclusive distributor of Envision brand monitors announced today that Smart Computing magazine has chosen its Envision EN-5100e 15-inch LCD display as the recipient of its prestigious Smart Choice award.
The Smart Computing magazine Smart Choice designation is based on the magazines head-to-head review of four high-quality LCDs. The EN-5100e received the Smart Computing award in the high-quality LCD category coming out on top over competitors including Samsung, Sony and NEC. The stringent review of same-class products by the magazines staff of expert product reviewers includes criteria based on technical testing, size of viewable screen, resolution, price, warranty and more. The Smart Choice designation is given only to the product performing the best in a product class.
According to the Smart Computing product review, the EN-5100e responded to color and grayscale tests better than the other LCDs, rendering clean, sharp colors. Additionally, the review determined the EN-5100e to have slightly better imaging capabilities than its competitors, as well as being easy to install, all while carrying the lowest price among all of the monitors tested.
Smart Computing also states that the EN-5100e provides great overall performance, describing the unit as one of Envisions best monitors, and the best 15-inch LCD in this review. The Envision brand also has been praised by other well-known reviewers for advanced performance, higher resolution, plug-and-play simplicity and much more.
Envision brand monitors are ideally suited for corporate, SOHO or home use, and are available at CompUSA, Staples and Frys Electronics retail stores.
We are extremely proud to receive Smart Computing magazines Smart Choice Award, as this underscores our dedication to providing a high quality, yet extremely affordable product for our retail customers, said Tak Shimizu, EPI vice president of sales and marketing.
